Hsiu-Chin Lin (PhD, Marine Biology, Scripps Institution of Oceanography 2009) is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Paulay lab at Florida Museum of Natural History, Gainesville. Her research interests include evolution, phylogenetics, phylogeography, conservation and biodiversity. Her PhD work focused on understanding the evolutionary relationships of a lineage of reef fishes (Suborder Blennioidei) with both molecular and morphological tools. Her current project is to study the biodiversity of crab species in Moorea including both adults and larvae (zoea and megalops). The change of crab species composition at different life stages will improve our understanding in marine ecology and facilitate future conservation applications.
