I am a current Ph.D. candidate at The University of Kansas, under the supervision of Dr. Daphne Fautin. I am interested in the systematics of sea anemones (Order Actiniaria). My graduate research involves a taxonomic revision of the sea anemone families Thalassianthidae and Aliciidae; these are shallow water, tropical anemones that have branched outgrowths that house zooxanthellae. While in Moorea, I hope to collect a range of sea anemone species, and help with the general marine invertebrate collections.
