Equipment and Supplies
An online database of equipment and supplies at the Gump Station is being prepared. If you have any specific needs, please contact Frank Murphy.
In most cases, visitors should plan to bring all the chemicals and other expendable supplies that they need with them (or ship them to the lab - see below).
Mailing or Shipping Items to Moorea
IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION: The Gump Station will assist in receiving research related items but please notify us in advance.
When sending packages to French Polynesia, please be aware that they will be subject to import duties. Larger packages will be impounded at the port of entry and generally require a Customs Agent to get them out. There is a fee associated with the Customs Agent's services.
The Gump Station has an exoneration of some of the import duties for certain research materials. Please contact us at least a month before you ship anything (whether by air or sea) if you wish to apply for this exoneration. We will require a list of the items and their value.
